A case to rethink your online attraction marketing success strategy-

Have you tried being vulnerable and personable with your marketing as the key to your success?

Happy Sunday, Jo-Anne, here.

Maybe it's because it's Sunday or maybe it's because of where I'm in my journey but one thing's for sure, I'm feeling quite reflective today so I felt called to write this article.

Are you new to online marketing or perhaps you are not so new? Did my unique title on this well discussed and marketed topic attract you because either it resonates with you or it's a unique spin that you would like to consider.

Either way, I'm glad you stopped by and I would like to propose that perhaps in this world of increasing automation, bots, combined with airbrushed pictures and social media highlight reels, that perhaps because the web is so saturated with this, that in order to have true long-term success now and in the future, it actually in being the opposite of the current norm...

That perhaps, the winners are those people who take the time to get to know you first and build the relationship rather than being that people befriending you (be it here or Facebook) and in their first message sharing about an opportunity you must look at even though the barely know how to pronounce your name?

Some marketing strategist call it Marketing Brand You. Being humble enough to share your full story so that people who resonate with you feel comfortable to be themselves with you and then as you build the relationship, if they need the services you offer or know someone who does, they will be happy to work with you or refer others to you.

As I reflected on this today, I must admit that, despite feeling uncomfortable doing it, I have made some of these overzealous mistakes in my early days, following poor advice and dropping my "links" and rushing to the sale without truly understanding the person on the other side of the conversation.

For that, I'm truly sorry, however. Yet, it's perhaps in making those mistakes that I have learned the most, as in feeling how that made me feel and realizing I couldn't keep doing that and it just wasn't me...maybe that was a taste I needed to have.

What I've found that allows me to sleep at night is to share all my story so that whatever I have attracted in my life is because I've shown up as me and not because of who I'm pretending to be or an image I'm hiding behind.

What about you, think about the people that you enjoy following, working with and truly resonate with you. Be it they are someone that you work in person with or virtually? What was it that made you decide to trust them to take the first step or other steps with them?

When I look at the people that I've chosen to mentor me or to purchase from, I recognize that it's someone I could relate to because they shared their full story including their failures, and this may not have been in a one to one conversation (I do believe there is an important role for automation) but I feel and see the real them in their content and am attracted to that.

So yes, I'm putting this one thought forward for your consideration...perhaps it's time to rethink how you can be a success online...perhaps it's sharing your motivation quotes with a backdrop of the picture of your messy kitchen table that your working from (like I'm doing now as my two oldest boys have a bath before bed), perhaps it's finally actually putting a picture of yourself on your profile. Perhaps it's taking the time to personalize your autoresponder or your profile here on IBO outside of just sharing your business page.

Bottom line is (at least for me) people are attracted those who are vulnerable and personable and enjoy doing business with real people, are you one of them.

Thanks for taking the time to read my Soulful Sunday Musings, I welcome your comments.

Until next time, JoAnne

ps: the photo at the top was taken by my husband (whom I'm currently separated from) in our dining room and was not doctored in any way :-) You are welcome to visit my youtube channel to learn more about me and or interact with me. Wishing you success!
