Do you find yourself sometimes waking up exhausted and sluggish? Or perhaps around 3 pm having difficulty maintain focus on energy on an important task and either getting frustrated with yourself or wishing for the end of the day?

If so, in this article,  I will 7 tips to help you boost your energy naturally.

Before I get into those tips, you are probably wondering who am I and why you should listen or in this case read what I have to say. Well, is it okay that I share a little bit about myself first so know who the heck I am and why you should listen to me?

I'm JoAnne, a married mom of three boys (here's a short video of me and my energetic boys at Christmas time)

and I grew up from a very young age being very aware of the importance of self-care, nutrition, and a healthy lifestyle thanks to my parents owning a health food store and vegan restaurant and hosting several educational events. Thankfully I listened and through my life, for the most part (I believe in 80/20 rule), I took very good care of myself. Fast forward to the birth of my 3rd son and despite that, I was struggling and it seemed that I had hit a wall and just was constantly tired and that's when I got introduced to the company I'm proud to be partnered with: Isagenix.

My long time friend from university, Satbir, a mom of two boys, who went through the same struggles and now was looking and feeling fantastic shared the products with me and customized my first 30-day cleansing and replenishing program for me. What was funny was that I used to design my own cleanses in university and had fantastic results but it was just time-consuming and very hard on the body so I had gradually gotten away from that. Well, I'm glad Satbir put a bug in my ear because within a week, I was enjoying the yummy shakes, pleasantly surprised how gentle the whole body cleanse was and best still, was sleeping better and feeling revived and really the rest is history, I've been using and sharing several of their solutions daily to help myself and others achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Now, I'm passionate about educating and helping those looking for a better way for themselves and their family with the solutions that Isagenix offers..hence this let's get to it.

1)Are you Low on an integral mineral? Eating a balanced diet can help ensure your vitamin and mineral needs are met. However, one of the minerals that are is often lacking is Magnesium. This mineral is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body including the proper breaking down glucose into energy. So when the level is even a little low, you can definitely feel a slump in your mojo. Consider incorporating some or more things like almonds, walnuts and other foods rich in magnesium into your diet.

2)Consider incorporating Adaptogenic Herbs into your daily diet.

What are adaptogenic herbs you ask? Well, these healing plants balance and restore the body’s natural ability to handle stress by regulating the adrenal system, which is responsible for controlling the way hormones respond to stress.

(a quick video on the top 10 adaptogenic herbs that ease stress)

Adaptogens don’t target a specific body part; instead, they help your entire body gently cope with stress, anxiety, and, of course, fatigue. Some of the best adaptogen herbs to boost your energy include ashwagandha, Rhodiola, holy basil, licorice root and ginseng.Getting a daily dose of adaptogens like those found in Ionix® Supreme and e+™, can help your body more readily mitigate stress to minimize its harmful effects and give you the boost you need.

3)How is the quality of your sleep? Are you spending your nights tossing and turning? Are you getting enough sleep? While you sleep, your body is restoring and repairing the day’s damage. Some simple tips, 10 pm to 2 am is prime time for best quality sleep, try to keep a consistent sleep schedule, eliminate caffeine after 3 p.m., keep electronics out of the bedroom. Consider power naps during the day as you move towards better sleep at night. Quality sleep is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. Just one poor night’s sleep can wreak havoc on all areas of your life – your size, mood, performance, and of course your energy levels the next day. Supplementing with a melatonin product like Sleep Support and Renewal™ can be one of the most effective.

4)Are you snacking to help boost your energy for the long term?

Often, when low on energy, we have the tendency to reach for more sugary, salty, or fat-laden snack which offers a quick pick up but long term negative. Whenever snacking, think of how you can add a moderate amount of protein, with some healthy fats and carbs.

The carbs will give that quick pick me up and then the protein and healthy fats will kick in to keep you supplied with the energy you need. Isagenix offers several family friendly snacks such as Whey Thins™ which are a nutritious and tasty alternative that will leave you feeling satisfied while providing a steady flow of energy.

5)Are you getting enough water? Did you know that we often confuse signals of thirst for hunger?

Even slight dehydration can leave you in the doldrums. Water is an essential part of your body so finding healthy ways to add more water to your daily intake can help to give you a natural boost in energy. Isagenix offers a natural hydration sports drink called Amped Hydrate that helps you stay hydrated and refreshed.

6) How about taking a break from what you are doing? Take a short walk in the fresh air! While it may seem as if moving about when you feel exhausted is the quickest route to feeling more exhausted, the opposite is true. Experts say that increasing your physical activity level-- particularly with walking-- increases energy.

7) Are you skipping breakfast? Breakfast kick starts your metabolism for the day so if you are skipping breakfast, you are giving your body a really tough go. This is the meal that revives up your body to get started in giving you the energy you need for the day.

(Quick video on my better breakfast challenge)

Help your body out by having breakfast daily and make it a good one. Isagenix offers high quality and complete meal replacement shakes that come in several flavors and all you need to do is add water and shake. If you want to have more fun and variety, you can download my free recipes book with 25 different healthy shake recipes.

So, these are seven simple yet big ways that you can improve your energy. If you are struggling with your energy, what simple switch or change will you make? Feel free to reach out to me with questions and comments.

To you health and success
