Are You Tough Enough?

In the world of business, in general, you have to not take things personal, especially if things do not go exactly how you planned. If you feel that you need a little more toughness in this business game, here are some steps to consider.

The most important step in becoming tougher is to come face to face with the truth about your current level of toughness. Embrace the reality of your most profound weaknesses. In order to make this process work, you must take an honest look on the inside of yourself. No point of denying or hiding. It may be uncomfortable, but the payoff in personal growth can be rewarding.

Identify the four most profound weaknesses that are currently blocking your path to greater productivity, health, and happiness in your life. Once you figure them out, the weaknesses will be converted into positive daily goals. Make them themes in your life for the next month.

Example:

Weaknesses                    Themes

1. Insecurity                   -> Confident

2. Defensiveness             -> Open

3. Rigidity & Inflexibility   -> Flexible

4. Pessimism                   -> Optimistic

The next thing to do is create a daily log. Whenever you do anything that reinforces one of your themes on any given day, give yourself a plus (+) or a star (or whatever symbol you would like to use) for that day. The objective is to identify the right themes and then to keep them alive and real on a daily basis until new habits and perceptions emerge.

We do hope this information was helpful. For other great tips for success and personal development, check out the book below:
