Do You Have a Clientele?

I have been a practicing attorney for over 34 years now.  At this point in my career, I have more client's than I know what to do with.  My office phones just never stop ringing.  Now, I'm not complaining!  It took me years to build a list of clients who trust my judgment and the advice that I give them.  I am very grateful to be as blessed as I am.

Just like me, a plumber, an accountant, a physician, a contractor and, really, anyone who is in business for her or himself needs customers.  Having a list of clients or customers that have used your services in the past, like your work, and trust you to give them fair value for the fee you charge is the key to long-term success.  Without a client or customer list, it is difficult, if not impossible to succeed in business.  With that list, you can contact them to offer them advice about new developments in your field.  You can offer them specials as repeat customers or you can introduce them to new products and services.  As an online marketer, do you have a list of customers that will come back to you year after year?  If not, then you would do well to heed the following advice.

You need to build your list!  It is that plain and that simple.  You need to start building a list of subscribers.

 

          

Can you imagine anyone in business for themselves with no customer list?  Of course you can't.  Success in business means you need repeat customers.  Without that source of business you can rely upon, you likely won't be in business long!  Yet many online marketers resist the notion that they should be email marketing.  That resistance may be one of the reasons why the failure rate among online marketers is so high.
