Profit With Advertising

      Yesterday after church my wife and I went out to lunch, then dropped into a local small ice cream shop for dessert. When we were finished enjoying the tasty frozen treat, there weren’t any other patrons in the shop, so I asked the owner about how he advertised to let people know about his place.

     He told me about how our town limits the size of the signs in the front of shops, and how they don’t let him have any additional signage by the road (his shop is one of those along the big parking lot of a large supermarket). Newspaper ads, he agreed, were quite expensive, and as yet he doesn’t have a website.

     I told him a little about the proximity marketing devices that are available from the company that I’m an associate of. I explained how ads for his ice cream shop could show up on mobile devices both within the nearby range of the devices and also displayed on websites displayed on moble phones within a 50 mile radius of his store.

     I offered to come back to show him one of the devices and explain it further. I told him I would even set up an ad for him and have it shown for awhile without any charge so he could see how well it worked for him. He's looking foward to my doing so.

      He can have the ads give the location of his shop, and have a clickable button so folks can instantly call right from from their cell phone. If he wants people to be able to visit a website that will display more information on their cell phone after they click a call to action button, one can easily be created and hosted right in their Genusity back office.

     See how easy it can be to talk with local business people about their advertising? They for sure need to advertise, and they probably don’t enjoy the exorbitant prices charged by local newspapers and radio stations. When they learn that for much less money they can have their ads shown on mobile phones within a 50 mile radius they are apt to be very open to trying this.
