Beneficial, Affordable and Profitable

Those who seek to start their own business want it to be profitable so they can make enough money to help them reach whatever goals they may have. Maybe it is to help put their kids through college, or go on the vacation they've dreamed about, or perhaps build a comfortable retirement nest egg. But  looking for a way to make money should not be the only focus when choosing and starting a business.

I believe that looking for a way to truly benefit other people, not just ourselves, should be the starting point in determining what endeavor we should pursue. When you look at biz ops that others are promoting, take enough time to see exactly what it is that you will be selling. When people purchase your products or services, what will they be getting? If the only "value" that the opportunity offers is to get others to pay you for the "opportunity" to get others to pay them to do the same thing, then please don’t go there! You might make money for the short term, but ruin your reputation for the long term.

What people buy from you should be something they will benefit from using whether or not they ever sell it to anyone else. That way they won't feel ripped off, and you will have earned their respect.

The next important factor to consider, in my opinion, is to look for what will be affordable for the prospective buyers of what your business will offer. It doesn’t have to be the cheapest on the market, but it should be priced fairly so that those who see how your products will benefit them will be happy to pay you for it. People do like good quality at a fair price, so if that is what provide, your customers are likely to tell others about what a good deal they got from you.

If you find a business that offers something of exceptional quality at a significantly lower cost that what competitors are charging, then you might have a real winner. If it costs you less to use it, and you can offer it to others at a great price, more people might want to join you in that business.

Finally, since you want to have a real business, you want it to be profitable. To do that, you want what you offer to provide you with respectable commissions. If you only earn from direct sales, then the amount earned per sale should be high enough so that you won't have to make tons of sales in order to make your efforts worthwhile. If you can also earn commissions from the sales of the people you refer into the company, that can be even better. But try to be sure that their business plan is easy enough for average people to learn how to operate successfully.

Three businesses that I am involved with that meet these criteria are SignaSource, Gorilla Marketing Pro, and Genusity.

I love the interactive email signatures that SignaSource provides for just $9 a month (or $81 for for an entire year to get 3 months for free). You earn 30% commissions on direct referrals and another 10% commissions on 4 more levels of referrals.

Gorilla Marketing Pro has an absolutely for free membership level that lets you build an unlimited email list and be able to email everyone on it right from your GMP back office every 48 hours. I’m a Platinum Plus member (just $25 a month) which lets me make as many professional web pages and banners as I want.

Genusity has very affordable advertising beacons and a network that lets businesses have their ads seen on smart phones both within the range of the beacons and also within 50 miles of any zip or postal code.

Beneficial, affordable and profitable products and services make these three companies ones that I an very glad to be associated with, and if you want to know more about any or all of them, you can use the buttons on my interactive signature below (which I easily created in SignaSource).
