How Important Is Your IBO Social Profile Page?

How Important Is Your IBO Social Profile Page?

Your IBO Social profile page is the most important part of what you ever will have on IBO Toolbox. Why? Because everything you post here on IBO is linked to that page.

Wherever you see your profile avatar with your name beside it on the IBO wall, your name is actually a clickable link that opens a a pop-up box about you that includes a link to your profile page.

Furthermore, when you publish a press release, there is always a “Home” link at the top of the page that links your IBO social page. That same “Home” link is at the top of your posted video pages as well.

Every time you post a comment on somebody's press release or video, if people click on your name in your comments, they are taken directly to your IBO Social profile page.

So you need to ask yourself, what do people see when they get to your profile page? Is it still in the default setting which tells nearly nothing about you or your business? Is the print so small that some folks will have trouble reading it? Are there any graphics to make the page more interesting? Does it have an eye catching banner to invite visitors to check out the business you recommend? (After all, this platform is for Independent Business Owners, so you want to make it easy to get to your business, don't you?).

If you do have some good content on your Social page, do you take time to modify and update it from time to time? After all, if you get repeat visitors and they always see exactly the same thing every time, they may stop coming back.

The final reason why your Social profile page is the most important page here on IBO is because it can get seen by huge numbers of people who are not members of IBO. How does that happen? Because if you have good content on it, and it has all those links to it from the other things you do here on IBO (including your comments on what others do here), then it will turn up on Internet searches all over the world. This can be a powerful way to atract prospects to your business.

The people who land on your IBO Social page from those Internet searches won't be there to earn advertising credits to use for promoting their own business. They will land on your page because they did a search for something related to what you have on that page. If you have no good content that is being searched for, you won't get those visitors. If they show up and your page looks terrible, they won't stay long or ever come back. If you are in business, you will miss out on potential customers if you do not have really good content on your IBO Toolbox Social profile page.

So what are you going to do about it? If you already have good content, great. But if you haven't updated it in a while, then think about doing so. If you do not have good content as yet, then go visit the profile pages of other members and get ideas of what you could do to improve your page. If you don't know how to change font size or add graphics, go to http://marketwithkris.com/ and take her free course on IBO.

I also invite you to take a look at my IBO Social page. If you already looked at it last month or even last week, why not check it out again because I regularly update it. (Such as just last night after supper.)   If you click this banner it will take you to it.
