From Opportunity-centric To Customer-centric Approach

After almost two decades of working in the Multi-Level Marketing niche, I finally decided to let go of the industry. It is not because I can't do it as I have earned money in the business, but because I got more matured now as an entrepreneur.

There's this friend of mine whom I am chatting everyday on Messenger and he asked me what's the reason for that decision. I told him a simple comparison that convinced me I made the right decision, and I hope it convinced him too.

Try compare this...

  1. Customer A just purchased a refrigerator at $500 in Amazon. You can guess how happy he is enjoying the cool water and fresh fruits he's storing in his fridge. He never regret spending $500 on the fridge' purchase.
  2. Customer B on the other hand is feeling restless over his recent purchase of a health and wellness entry package from an MLM company. Instead of thinking more how the products would benefit him, he's concerned about how he could recover his $500 investment, so he's out there looking for others he can get even to.

I just retired my MLM blog, stopped defending the industry because, theoretically speaking, the business can be done in an ideal way wherein people should focus on merchandising the products and recruiting others is just optional, but in the real world, that seldom happen.

In he real world, the #2 example is more prevalent.

So, having exerted a lot efforts trying to add value in this struggling industry, I decided to move on, and change my niche. Also, I became more aware that maybe my God does not approve of the way I have done before that's why I am not reaching my full potential.

Click here for the new business, the better business model I'm in now.
