Just Lay It In The Water, You Will Catch A Fish! No Technical Equations Whatsoever!

I often compare prospecting in Multi-Level Marketing with fishing.

Just this morning, my doctor of philosophy friend (in Facebook) messaged me again.

(He asks unlimited questions about MLM, all day, almost everyday!)

This time, he's commenting about his friend who just recently bought a sports car from earnings in MLM business.

This philosopher friend with advanced education can't believe what he saw, as the successful kid is a distant relative of him.

He asked me...

"Bro, what can you say about this success story posted on Facebook by this kid?"

So, I checked on the link, and read the story.

Then, I replied...

"As I read the story, it dawned on me that to be successful in MLM business, you don't need advanced degrees, and genius knowledge..."

"What we need is action. Take action.", I continued.

There was a pause. He didn't reply.

I then followed it up...

"You know, there's this story of Japanese students who travelled to the Philippines to learn about our fishing techniques here. They enrolled in the top state university, and learned all the technical aspects of fishing...

Then, they visited a fishing village on the last day of their stay here. After sitting all day in the beach discussing advanced fishing techniques, they spotted a fisherman fishing on the rocky side of the beach.

They approached him and asked, 'Hey, how did you do that? What's your technique? What's your secret?'"

"I don't know," said the man. "I just laid it on the water, and after some minutes, I caught a fish."

After sharing that story, my doctor philosopher friend replied with a thumbs up symbol.

Our chat ended, it seems I hit something in him that should be changed.

Action, not time-wasting, is the key to success in any business.

You think prospecting and sponsoring is a rocket science? I don't think so. Even an ordinary person can do this.

Just like what Nike said, "Just do it!"
