Why I Still Look For People Using PC Instead of Just Mobile Phones

The trend today is going mobile, and every online marketer seems to be adapting.

They said, "If your site is not mobile-friendly, then you're missing out big time!"

Also, aside from being mobile, most people are tied now with Facebook. Mobile service providers and phone companies now offer bundled services wherein people can get free internet.

But the free internet that comes with their mobile phone service, is sometimes limited to Facebook only, or a social media of their choice.

People are stuck on social media, with their mobile devices.

They don't wanna go anywhere...

The problem with these, is that people become lazy.

Yes, lazy, in the sense that they don't wanna leave their mobile phones to use laptops or personal computers. And as we all know, mobile devices are limited in their capabilities.

I would admit that I myself is having a hard time composing a simple blog post with a mobile device.

My fingers are used to typing in a full blown keyboard, and there are web services like readability checkers, that are not available via mobile.

Then, there were instances that those who have subscribed to learn more about my business, when asked if they have learned something, they said "I'm on mobile now, I can't visit your company site."

They don't wanna visit the main site for fear of extra internet charges!

Imagine, your mobile phone service gives you free Facebook, but you can't navigate away to other sites because, if you do you will be charged extra.

And that's happening most of the time!

So, that made me think, these prospects that are mostly mobile on Facebook, they are not the best prospects or customers most marketers think they are.

Maybe, if you can sell stuff right there on Facebook, or just using Facebook to arrange a meet-up, then there's no problem.

But if you are selling services like Hostgator blog hosting, people can't buy hosting right there on Facebook!

And add to that, they can't create a blog on Hostgator right there on Facebook!!

(I don't wanna recruit someone who doesn't want to leave Facebook, even for a minute)

Do I sound crazy with this?

Maybe, but it's the reality.

So, the mobile prospects, the mobile customers that most of you are dreaming to have, may not be the ideal customer most of the time.

For a list of pros and cons of mobile marketing, let me share to you this article:
