It Is Better To Trade Than To Hold

Ragay, Phils. - 5/28/2017 - For those aware of the Bitcoin stuff, you may be amazed to what Bitcoin has behaved this 4th week of May, 2017. Some yelled, "It's happening!", while others treated it as just another day in trading.

There were friends who believe that Bitcoin is like God-send and that it is their hope for millions. Perhaps, thinking it is some kind of undiscovered Diamond that will take them to magical riches if they hold it for long.

It was treated by many as some kind of religious event like Christ's Second Coming!

I admit, I was also fascinated in the same manner until that fateful weekend arrived.

The magic disappeared, and the ever-dearest coin started to tumble down. A lot of people scrambled to safety, and including me. Luckily, the moment I attempted to convert back to my currency, I noticed the original amount I have put has devalued terribly.

That taught me something, and opened me to a more exciting window of this cryptocurrency opportunity.

After reading some articles in CNBC's website, I realized I was baptized on becoming a trader, rather than a weird currency collector.

Unlike Numismatic, where the stuff you hold looks cute, there's nothing cute with the numbers you stare at your computer screen (unless the numbers are climbing up).

I began to disregard it as something "not religious", but rather a game that should be played.

I remember, there was a friend just before the tumbling, we were discussing whether to sell and not wait for the crash. He argued that he believe the value of the coin will continue to go up, even to millions.

I took the other way and decided to sell/convert back to my currency. I even told him that selling does not mean I will say good bye forever to Bitcoin. I am just selling to take some profits, then once the value start to go up again, I am coming back to the game.

There's no difference, right? At least, I will make profits out of the swings.

After reading this article from CNBC, I have this gut feeling that I am right with my decision:

It was a game well played by the good players. Nothing religious there. All I saw was profit-taking!

And the same kind of game will be repeated, again and again.
