road map to success

One shouldn't attempt to jump in their car and try to travel to a new destination without having a road map (Directions) on how to get there.

Yet, we see often, when it comes to people trying to map out their road to success to building an online business, that they do not have a real, concise plan of action.

Deb and I, when we deal with people who are having difficulties establishing their business, first seek to understand what their step-by-step goals are. Most likely, they've never even taken the time to write them down, much less even know what they are.

A typical person might have dollar signs in their eyes, and enthusiasm galore. They may have just joined a business that promised them riches. But in many cases, they aren't even sure what they've gotten themselves into, what it is their business actually is or how they earn money with it, or how to even begin to market it effectively to be successful.

The truth is that people join all types of businesses, often for the wrong reasons, and without doing their due diligence.

That is why when Deb and I created "The Job Slayers" Tribe, we started with the most important thing...

...which is finding companies that provided true value in the market place with the products and services they offer.

If one doesn't have a firm foundation on which to rely upon, then nothing else matters, because at some point down the road, your entire business will crumble to the ground.

We have seen this many times over the last several years with some rather public businesses. In one famous case, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) came into and shut the company down, leaving many affiliates (some who had put in quite a bit of money into the business), on the outside looking in. The government put the company in receivership and tried their best to reimburse as many people as possible to make them whole, but the fact is, there just wasn't enough money to go around and make everything right for everyone.

Why did the FTC shut the company down?

They were running a classic pyramid scheme, where the only way they could pay affiliates was by bringing in new money all the time from new affiliates who were being recruited into the business. More money had to go out than was coming in to keep up the business model, which is a classic definition of a pyramid.

But the real clue to the scheme was that the company didn't really have a product or service of value that it was selling to the public. Affiliates were buying a junk product just so they could qualify to receive daily "interest" in their account that supposedly compounded over time into a large stash of cash.

The term "pay to play" comes to mind.

It might seem crazy, but a lot of very intelligent, well-meaning seasoned professionals in the industry got involved with that company. The only good thing I can say about it is that it hopefully educated a lot of people on what to and what not to look for in a good company.

It all comes down to product and value.

Seek out companies that deliver in the market place with their products and services and you will have found a good starting block for building your own little empire from home.

That is why when Deb and I formed "The Job Slayers" we made it a priority to only work with companies that established themselves in the market place as leaders in the specific area of expertise. Our portfolio of four main companies are backed by experienced business owners who know how to run companies from the ground floor up, and have proven it year after year after year.

You are welcome to join us in one or all of the companies that we have chosen to associate ourselves with. We know these companies do what they say they will do because we are living it.

They have provided us a way to get out of debt and live the kind of dream lifestyle we always wanted to have. And they can do the same for you.

So don't be fooled by promises of quick riches by jumping on the latest and greatest fad.

Run with the leaders and they will help you get to your final destination.
