Nothing Goes Right!??

Do you have those days when nothing gets done or nothing goes right?

If nothing gets done because we DID NOTHING, that is OK as long as we do not make a habit of doing nothing.

I believe that we all agree and that we all know that success takes action...but that is not what I am talking about.

The kind of day that I am talking about, when nothing gets done and nothing goes right, is the kind of day that you work your tail off, yet, nothing goes right and nothing gets done

Or have you had the kind of day that you work like a dog and at the end of the day, you seem to have lost ground?

Yes, I have those days, too...BUT...this is NOT a negative post...so please read on.

What you are about to find will help you to avoid being discouraged.

I look at obstacles and roadblocks and setbacks as OPPORTUNITIES!  That sure sounds crazy...HUH?

I do not always understand the reason...sometimes stuff seems to happen for NO reason,  But I KNOW that each time that I have "One Of Those Days", I will receive more in hidden benefits than I may realize.

I work hard, some days I see little or no progress, yet I receive hidden benefits?

It is actually kind of a trade off, I guess.  Some days, I (unwillingly) trade little to no progress for LEARNING and for GROWING STRONGER.

I not only learn something, I learn it better!  They say that experience is the best teacher, perhaps adversity is the best teacher.  I also get to re-learn important skills such as patience, confidence, and control and all this makes me stronger without my even knowing it.

Patience

I guess patience is a choice or an option, but I figure that opting to be patient is a 'no brainer' since my alternatives are not only negative but literally self-destructive.

Confidence

I have confidence that the adversity that I face will be overcome.

Control:

I maintain control of the situation since there is no situation that I face that I will not be in control of.

In life and in business, you will face days that may be fraught with adversity.  You may not want to do cartwheels, but consider making a decision to embrace adversity and be thankful for all its hidden benefits.

You will get through it and you will be wiser and stronger!

OH DEER!

Pastor Matthews' Wednesday night church service happened to be on the same day as the last day of the hunting season.

He asked the congregation, who had bagged a deer. Even though it was a Wednesday, the church was full, but no one raised a hand.

Surprised and puzzled, Pastor Matthews exclaimed, "I don't understand. Last Sunday many of you were missing because of the hunting season.   The whole congregation prayed for your deer."

Joe, one of the hunters groaned, "Well, Pastor, it worked. The deer are all safe."
