Below is what always amazes me.  A super simple squeeze page that almost should NOT work. yet it often does!

These features and benefits are the value builders that get your visitors to subscribe.
Value builders can be as simple as a headline.

For those of you who may not be sure what a squeeze page is, it is a web page that is meant to acquire an email address.

This post is focused not so much on how to create a squeeze page, rather on how to make it effective. 

Fast and easy squeeze pages do not do us much good if they do not do their job which is to get those addresses. 

The effectiveness of your squeeze page is relative to the HOOK or the BAIT and
ULTIMATELY its perceived value. 

Visitors will give you their email address when they feel that it is worth it.  

Sooo....what does it take to make that happen?

Think of your squeeze page as a DOOR.  Your visitor can open the door and get what is on the other side of that door with a key...the key is their email address.

It is our job to give our visitors a glimpse of the value that lies beyond the door.  If we can show them enough promised value or perceived value, they will insert the key.

How do we know what will work and what won't work?

The truth is that we do not know...but...we have several options that can help us to get our conversions (email sign-ups)

In my opinion, the most effective squeeze pages often identify the problem (but not always) and almost always identify the solution or the promise of a solution.

So the solution, the benefit(s), or the promise seem to carry the most weight.

  • use common sense...would you part with your email address or would you need more value?
  • you gain experience, you will develop a better and better feel or instinct as to what will work.
  • Split testing-Tweak and Test!

Split testing-Tweak and test is a simple process where you run two similar squeeze pages...your original squeeze page and one that has been changed (tweaked).  

You compare the two pages.  If your tweaked page does better, it becomes your new squeeze page and you test and tweak again.  If not, you keep your original and re-tweak it and compare the results again. 

Testing and tweaking is your 'secret weapon', and it should be standard procedure. 

More tips:

Remember that you want sales funnels with upsells and add ons that you get paid for.  This additional revenue helps you to be more competitive (pay more) when paying for advertising.

In addition, each subscriber that you gain should be worth at least $1 per month or more.  Some list builders only want to 'break even' with their email campaigns, due to the future value of the subscribers that they will gain.

Getting your squeeze pages to work may take time.  Consider using free traffic generation options while you are learning how to make your squeeze pages convert.

Just like with a squeeze page, sometimes we can say the wrong thing.  Enjoy.

Rose sat patiently while waiting for her first appointment with her new doctor. She noticed the doctor's medical school certificate on the wall, which bore his full name.

Rose remembered a tall, handsome boy with the same name had been in her high school some 40+ years ago.

Once she saw the Doctor,  Rose began to doubt that the Doctor was the high school classmate that she remembered.  This gray-haired man with a lined face seemed too old.

"When did you graduate?" asked Rose.

 "In 1975." was his answer.

"Why you were in my class!"  exclaimed Rose.

The Doctor looked at Rose closely and replied,
