What A Day!  What A DAY!

Yesterday was one of those days when more things failed than succeeded.  Just to name a few...two out of three videos would not upload and yesterday's post went up in digital smoke!  Although much of what I did yesterday failed, I share this with you with a huge smile on my face!!!

Yesterday was one of the most productive LEARNING DAYS that I have had in a long time!

Every failure propels me and you forward!

Every failure is a huge learning experience.  I always learn more from my mistakes and failures and I am sure that you do as well.

Successes are great, but I sincerely feel that failures act as magnets and cement.  They help us attract our successes and they make our character and our business solid.

The next time you have a BAD DAY, be thankful...since those bad days are often our BEST DAYS in disguise.

don't let age
get you down joke

I am using Trellian Web Page as my HTML editor for this post, I am trying it out before I recommend it.  Yesterday, after writing a post, I closed it with Trellian and it did not ask me to post was gone.

As far as I can tell that (not asking me to save) flaw and the fact that there is no red dotted outline of a table when cell spacing is removed are the only two minor negatives that I see.  From now on, I will be sure to save and remove cell padding last.

Yesterday, I did get Stripe set up (a payment processor).  I have Paypal, have had it for years, and have never had a problem, but I am hearing so many stories that I decided to add Stripe.  Stripe is easy and free.

I also added a few more email addresses to my web hosting emails...allow me to share a few tips.

Suggested email addresses:

I usually add a 'personal' address as well, such as:

After adding an email address, I highly recommend that you add an email forwarder and an autoresponder message.

Go to Forwarder on your cPanel and add your new email address(es) and forward to an email that you open daily or most often.  You want to respond to emails and as soon as possible.

Then go to Autoresponders.  The autoresponder that your web host provides sends only one email response.  Here you want to set up a message that says thank you for their interest or thank you for your message, that it has been received, and that you will respond asap.  Include your name and website in the subject line or pertinent and relative information so your response will be opened and include your name and website in the signature.

It is also a good idea to go to catch all emails and set up a catch-all email for each of your email addresses.  A catch-all email allows you to catch any emails sent to your address that do not exist...this helps you avoid losing emails that might be misspelled.

Your web host may send you an email each time you make these kinds of additions or changes, be sure to confirm.

Trellian Web Page revelation!  It is an HTML editor, but it does exactly what it says....creates web pages.  HUH?

old age

I am ready to add images to my post.  When I add them with a url, the image will show up online (once published) but is displayed in the 'Editor' as a tiny box and the image does not even show in preview.

The one thing that Trellian Web Page is supposed to do is to "Publish" images and page all at once so you do not have to upload images separately.

When I went to Publish, it froze.

thumb down

I give Trellian Web Page a thumbs down.  I do not recommend it.  In fact, this post is being finished with Sea Monkey HTML Composer.

My favorite free HTML editors are NVU which is now Kompozer and is not as good and Sea Monkey which is superb.   Sea Monkey is a Mozilla Web Browser.  If you download it, pin Sea Monkey to your taskbar, then left click and you will see 'open new Composer page'.  On the Sea Monkey web page at the very bottom left, you will see four tiny icons, the third one says composer, click to open your editor.  You do not have to be online to use the editor.  About the only 'glitch' with Sea Monkey is that when you use more than one table, the Table Button is only for adding or editing your first table.  You can easily add all the tables you want, just go by way of Insert and then Table.

Thank you for reading, my friends.
Much success,
George Pierce
