My Hand Is Empty!
Gus's Bumper Sticker Experience!

Are you waving!??

My Hand Is Empty, My Heart Is Full!

Waving is thought to have its beginning with Knights.  Knights would remove their helmets to reveal their identity and then raise their hand as a salute.  This gesture showed that their hand was empty, that they were not holding a weapon.

Nowadays, waving in the U.S. typically means hello or good bye, although waving in some cultures can be offensive or mean that you are confused.   Waving can also be a way of getting someone's attention such as hailing a cab.

Waving and the Internet

Many of you have probably heard of branding.  Consider 'waving' to be a form of branding.  Show your visitors that your hand is empty and your heart is full.  HUH?

How can you sell anything if you are 'waving' instead of selling?

Ah, but waving IS a form of selling...actually called pre-sell.

Pre-sell is selling yourself first, one of the best forms of selling and branding.

Do not stop selling, but switch to pre-selling.  The fact is that people are most likely to buy from those they like and trust.  So give your visitors a chance to like you and trust you.

Start with a friendly wave!
Gus's "Honk If You Love Jesus" bumper sticker experience!

Honking is an audio wave, right?   Waving with your middle finger is an Alaskan wave, right?

Gus had just put a new "Honk If You Love Jesus" bumper sticker on his car and folks were really responding!  It all began as he sat day dreaming at the traffic light waiting for it to turn green.  Gus does not hear so well, but he could tell from all the honking and waving that his sticker was stirring some hearts.

What a joy!

Gus recalled that one guy was so moved by his sticker, that he kept yelling Jesus.  Unfortunately, Gus was the only one to make it through the light, but as he drove home, he knew that his bumper sticker was responsible for a true religious experience!

Thanks for reading, my friends.
Much success,
George Pierce
