Sub Niche Marketing

My most recent content site is Win At Losing Weight (WALW) which began in February.  This is not my first website, nor my first big site.  The following is a peek at how I create content in a sub niche.  

I start with a search for content.  Today's search is 'newest diets'

Turning the clock ahead a few minutes in my exploration, I have discovered that nearly all of these newest diets are not new-grin.  I have found a couple of diets, however.  One that you might consider as 'interesting' and the other as 'unique'.  The two that I came up with are The Busy Person's Guide to Weight Loss and  Ear Stapling for Weight Loss.  

Using Google Adwords Keyword Planner  https://adwords.google.com/ko/KeywordPlanner/ , I learn that there is no search volume for The Busy Person's Guide to Weight Loss, so it is not a good candidate for a review or article since no one is searching for it.  

I was happy to find that ear stapling for weight loss has a 100-1K monthly search volume with medium competition.  1,000 searches is about the least that you or I should consider for a sub niche.

I know nothing about this sub niche,  so I go back to my Google Search box.

Being a big frog in a small pond (the idea behind sub niche marketing) can have its advantages over being a small frog in a big pond.

I know that 4,000 visits a day is still a small number, but that adds up to over 100K visits for the month and all  these visits are free search engine traffic that really is the best traffic.   I am getting more traffic in a day than I got in the whole month of June, 2017.   A 30 fold increase!

My point:  

Content marketing has a cumulative effect that eventually becomes a snowball effect that won't quit.  Content marketing can mean a nice income and/or lots of traffic for your present site.  Think of content market like building a dam that is going to fill with targeted visitors.  Every article, every post, every review, in other words, all your content will add up.  The key is to be consistent.

Whatever your business, creating a content site with onsite SEO will boost your site's Internet presence and traffic.  

Exact Match SEO tip:

If you are a brick and mortar business, you can cash in on 'exact match' by using the exact keywords that your visitors might use to find you.  Using a friend of mine as an example, his business repairs Subarus.  

What would people be typing in their search box if they want to get their Subaru fixed.  Using the keywords "Subaru Repair" at  'Get Ideas' from Google Adwords

'Near ME' is the key to your exact match traffic success.  

How exact match works:

Find the name of every town and city within your target radius.  Add each name to the front or rear of your keywords or, in this case, keyword phrases.  

As an example "Asheville, NC Subaru repair".     Let's say you have 30 cities and towns in the area that you want to target.  Just using the 7 keyword phrases above, you now have 210 keyword phrases.  Most experts seem to agree that about 10 to 20 keywords or keyword phrases are the max per article, web page, post, etc. and that as little as 2 to 4 is alright.  

The keywords in your meta section must be in your content and should be at about a 2 -3% ratio in order to make the search engines happy.  To make the SEO math work, you need to create a lot of content.  On the other hand, you probably know SO MUCH about your business that you could probably fill a library.  Make it fun, make it interesting and build your pages and posts around exact match keywords and/or keyword phrases.  Be consistent and the search engines will find you.
