Laughter Is Good For The Brain ~ Ellen

Flight 121 is leaving the runway, when Case, a 5 year old begins kicking and screaming. Case is not afraid to fly. Why the young boy is having a tantrum, no one knows, not even his Mom.  Nothing Mom says or does seems to have an effect, Case just continues his tantrum.

A tall muscular man dressed in a Marine uniform slowly walks down the aisle of the plane.  The Marine motions to Case's Mom to move away and then leans over close to Case.  While pointing to his chest, he quietly says a few words to Case.  Instantly, the tantrum ends.  The Marine goes back to his seat.

Later, the stewardess asks the Marine, "How did you do stop that boy from yelling and kicking.  What did you say?"

The Marine smiles, "I pointed to my uniform and my medals and my pilot's wings and explained how they allowed me to throw any one person that I choose, out of the plane, on any flight, at any time."

Contagious Subway Laughter  Do NOT miss out, you will love this!

Just about every post that I make at IBO has some humor, why?  It is a good marketing strategy, since people like to laugh.  But there is more.

Humor and laughter are not essential or required, but laughter is a gift.  Giving laughter is one of those things that benefit the giver as much as the receiver.  Laughter refreshes the spirit, lowers stress, improves focus, stimulates creativity, helps you to connect with others and much more.

Laughter is an instant vacation.~Milton Berle

If you’re too busy to laugh, you are too busy. ~ Proverb.

Hearty laughter is a good way to jog internally without having to go outdoors.

Norman Cousins

Norman Cousins Laughed His Way Back to Health and Life

In 1964, Norman Cousins, was given a few months to live.  Cousins, a journalist, researched his disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis.  He learned that his disease and his medicines were depleting the Vitamin C in his body along with other things.

He did four things.

Norman Cousins

    1. He checked out of the hospital
    1. He fired his doctor
    1. He began massive injections of Vitamin C
    1. He rented a projector along with a ton of funny movies, many by the Marx brothers and Candid Camera TV shows.  He made it a point to watch these films and laugh.  In fact, he made sure that he laughed each day until his stomach hurt from laughing.
Norman Cousins outlived his death sentence by 26 years and he credits laughter.

Thank you for reading, my friends, I wish you much laughter.
