Good For You Cornbread


Good for you and tastes good too!
This batch of corn bread is a healthy and delicious comfort food.

Ingredients:

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup low-fat (1%) buttermilk
1 egg, whole
¼ cup margarine, regular, tub
1 teaspoon vegetable oil (to grease baking pan)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F
Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Use another bowl to mix together buttermilk and egg and beat lightly.
Add buttermilk and egg mixture slowly to bowl of dry ingredients. 
Add margarine and mix for 1 minute.
Put in oven and bake for 20–25 minutes in an 8 x 8-inch baking pan (greased).
 Allow to cool.
Cut cornbread into 10 squares. 4 Heart Healthy Home Cooking Yield: 10 servings Serving size:

If you are wondering why I am sharing a delicious recipe that I posted earlier at the Weight Loss Article Directory rather than Internet Marketing tips, my excuse is POKER.  I have got a game to go to, I love you all at IBO, but I love poker as well.  

I also love to eat and this is a heart healthy NIH approved recipe, so enjoy.
