The email open rate is probably the most important piece in email marketing and SBOs and IMers know the importance of email marketing.

Fifty four percent of businesses view email as the most effective form of Internet marketing.

So you can see the reliance that internet businesses have on email marketing.

But the deluge of spam,redundant,preposterous, and clichéd email has created significant overexposure.

The deluge has resulted in email customers,and the general email public users becoming totally blasè.

Much of the email is never delivered, and a significant number of emails go to spam.


How many times have you heard "check your spam filter".

This is why my partner is such an advocate for gmail, as gmail gets through many of the filters.

The emails are important because they specify the WP product line which is comprehensive.


Keep in mind, clicks will tell you that the email recipients are valid recipients.

So more than ever, deliverability and subsequent open rates are key to effective email marketing.

If you have high deliverability and relatively high open rates,this indicates you're getting it done.

But you must also have a high CTR.

There is a significant correlationship between CPC and CTR.


After establishing somekind of a trust relationship, the two most important parts of the advertising technique, are getting it delivered and opened.



Obviously,a highly responsive list of email subscribers that know you, and with whom you have interactions, is the sought-after piece of email marketing.

But to elevate your OR, you need a compelling subject line.

Every email you send that doesn't get opened is a missed opportunity, and subject lines that may have worked in the past may not work today.

You've got to get innovative in order to get your email opened these days.

To remain healthy and viable as an email marketer,you'll need to invest in some long term creative thinking.

A sure way to lose people is by using ridiculous headlines.

The term "win-win" always gets peoples' attention.

But how do you establish trust to build a responsive list built on trust.

Obviously from marketing 101,the first proposition is to add and give value,as you get to know subscribers.

Second, use the double opt-in,also known as a confirmed opt-in strategy in your autoresponder.

AWeber does not require this, but they strongly advise you to use the confirmed opt-in.

People will see your name twice, which gets the recognition process started.

The people you lose,because they didn't want to confirm their subscription,were probably not the correct fit anyway.

I retired in network engineering from Qwest Corporation,now Century Link Corporation.I'd volunteered for two years with RSVP (retired seniors volunteer program),guardians angels retirement community,Minnesota Responds (public health volunteer),and the Elk River food shelf.
