don't forget the curlers

Two nuns were shopping in a food store and happened to be passing the beer and liquor section.

One nun asks the other if she would like a beer.

The other nun answered that would be good, but that she would be queasy about purchasing it.

The first nun said that she would handle it and picked up a six pack and took it to the cashier.

The cashier had a surprised look and the first nun said, "This is for washing our hair."

The cashier without blinking an eye, reached under the counter and put a package of pretzel sticks in the bag with the beer saying, "Here, don't forget the curlers."

Always A Slower Process

Blogs have always been and will continue to be one of the predominate platforms to share information and instruct other persons in your niche.

If you know a lot about a subject, then a blog is a significant way to establish a web presence and authority.

Larger companies are also using blogs to interact and keep the pulse of their customers, while building stronger ties.

What do you write about in your blog?

You basically talk about your trials and tribulations, how you've been successful or unsuccessful in your online promotions, but you never gloat.

Humility is still admired, but arrogance, false claims, and exaggeration are frowned upon.

The gurus are famous for talking about the millions they've made online.

They probably have, but their resources and talents are so much different from the average marketer,it almost renders their advice impractical for the average SBO or IMer.

Sure what they have to say is probably true, but think of the resources they have to run an Adwords or Facebook PPC Campaign.

Most gurus are not camera shy, consequently, they have an advantage because video appearances can add to online visability.

But for the average online marketer, it's always a slower process.

You still must have significant value-add content marketing, but it'll take a while to build brand.

Brand building is almost equivalent to getting enquirers, niche members and customers to follow know your brand.

Build a following and you are building your brand; and the converse is also true.

Recall, the purpose of the blogger should be to provide their readers with content that consistently informs, and educates on new and relevant topics within their niche.

Content marketing is meant to produce awareness about your small business and your company brand.

A blog is a tool in which you can build authority;also used to develop confidence and trust in your company.

The latter is more important than building authority.

Here's six things you You Should Put on Your Personal Website:(from a friend-Abe Cherian at :

1. What you are about. Right off the bat, when people land on your site, you want them to understand who you are, what you do, and what you’re looking for.

2. Your best work. Show people what you have done so far. If you are an online marketer, tell people the companies you have been helping/ promoting, and the results you've achieved so far.

3. Other platforms you are active on. Your social media platforms should ideally funnel traffic to your personal branding site. But, sometimes people would like to know what you are doing outside of your site. This shows your social circles and it can be helpful in relating with your audience.

4. A professional blog. Your personal branding site must have a blog where you can share your updates and thoughts. This will get you repeat visitors to your site, and give them another chance to engage with you, and buy what you are offering.

5. Social Proof. Post testimonials and comments from your clients and associates. If you have not bothered collecting any testimonials, ask your associates and clients to write a paragraph about their experience with you.

6. Use great quality photos. Invest some time to take high quality photos of yourself and even with your family. Use it on your site. It makes a huge difference.

Built on Trust

Human beings are human beings and relationships are built on trust, whether online or out in the physical world.

Online relationships are built on engagement, get people as engaged as possible by sharing valuable information, and effectively communicating.

You need to help niche people to the best of your ability, then your visitors will promote your brand for you.

We've seen how IBO always encourages comments and interaction.
Obviously, the IBO platform is well aware of online interaction.

Visitors and enquirers want and need something, if you're in the health and wellness niche, you must provide blogs that promote health and wellness.

You must provide the best health and wellness products and opportunities that are available.

Communication always works in two directions, so without comments and feedback there is no two-way communication.

In fact, no purpose can be set or gains met, until that communication channel is established.

Blogs are meant to establish a two-way communication channel, marketing is always secondary.

Blogging is really one of the best ways of branding yourself, and your online business.

You're obviously aware, the blog becomes one of the most important ways to connect with niche members, and collect leads, and develop an email list.

Buying leads or collecting leads for your list through solo ads, can add names to your email list, but no relationship has been established.

Consequently, your work starts at this point, rather than a more viable and organic list built from the branding process.
Your organic email list will evolve with the development of your brand.

Recall, the organic email list for the SBO is the most important brand tool to get conversions and sales.

SEM PPC ads, Facebook PPC Ads, and Solo ads are not really brand marketing tools,as people don't have a clue who you are.

Brand leads from content marketing are always the most effective, because these are truly organic leads.

Solo ads go out to customers of the owners of the solo ad list to which you send your message.

They are customers of the solo ad vendor because of their brand.
Can you develop them into customers?

Of course, but they must become familiar with you and your brand.

As I'd mentioned, you'll have some work to do to get them familiar and you'll need to communicate effectively with them.

Effective blogging means establishing yourself as a trusted leader in your niche with whom people want to communicate.

This doesn't mean that you know every thing about every thing in your niche, and in your industry.

It does mean, that you're willing to share responsibility, and take on tough jobs and answer tough questions relative to your niche.

It does mean that you're willing to go further, dig a bit deeper for answers, that can help the persons in your industry,as well as yourself.

It does mean that you'll provide consistent value, that'll help niche members.

You really never stop teaching;you never really stop learning.

But through this process your brand will grow, with that growth your online company will progress, and ultimately prosper.

The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good. Samuel Johnson
