Quite the names!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Brown had two sons. One was named Mind Your Own Business & the other was named Trouble.

One day the two boys decided to play hide and seek.

Trouble hid while Mind Your Own Business counted to one hundred.

Mind Your Own Business began looking for his brother behind garbage cans and bushes.

Then he started looking in and under cars until a police man approached him and asked, "What are you doing?" "Playing a game," the boy replied.

"What is your name?" the officer questioned.

"Mind Your Own Business." Furious the policeman inquired, "Are you looking for trouble?!"

The boy replied, "Why, yes." How'd you know?

Content marketing is still a prevalent,as well as,effective marketing technique.

Social media has significantly expanded the reach of content marketing,so a compelling headline,becomes more important,as content marketers' articles are becoming more diffuse.

Click-baiting is still very much alive.

This is not to mention the dangerous scams.

Where are the serious value-add marketers? Definitely right here at IBOtoolbox.

Some marketers are much more gimmick than substance.

It's difficult sometimes to identify the legitimate online marketer, who has something of value to say, something of value to offer.

Based on the click-baiting and redundant,and scam emails,you can see why the OR or,open rate, and clicks have steadily declined.

Email marketers have to pay attention to developing a headline,a subject,the authenticity of which, drives a higher OR or CTR.

So how can you set your headline, your subject line apart,and let people know that you have indeed got someting beneficial and important to say?

How do you make sure that your offer has been thoroughly researched and is a valuable,welcomed,and appreciated offer.

Experienced marketers study and know the fundamentals of accepted internet marketing headline writing.

Compelling without being unrealistic or weird.

The difference from the email and the blog, is that you need to insert keywords into the blog headline.

So what has changed since the email marketers initially learned subject writing rules?

The audience to which you target your headlines has become blasé,not only to the steady tide of meaningless subjects and headlines.

Your articles are not innovative perfection,or you'd be writting for the Washington Post, the New York Times,or National Geographic.

However, as serious marketers,it is necessary to make sure your subject is relevant and compelling,so that enquirers will open and read your material.

And how do they do that? Self-Interest.

Usually direct and speak to a specific benefit enquirer will gain by opening the email.

Self-interest subject lines also help pre-qualify enquirers by giving them info about your email’s body content.

This is an implied "here's why...." statement. Here's why you'll earn money online with a simple blog.... because the free video will teach you.

  • Your Story
  • Industry News

Success of persons who've use your products and services

Keep in mind, we're talking about initial email offerings here, and not personal-list oriented emails.

But you need to be straight to the point.

Here's why you need to open the mail or click the link,and you're very specific on what they'll get,and the time it will take to get it.

Now you've come up with an excellent headline for your content, you'll need to deliver on the promised goods.


Your headline and your content must be consistent, or your chances of getting a click from that enquirer again will be marginal.

This is equivalent to having a congruous optin and landing page on your blog.

When a reader clicks on your headline they have expectations,and it is necessary for you to live up to those expectations.


Instead of worrying about what people say of you, why not spend time trying to accomplish something they will admire. Dale Carnegie

I retired in network engineering from Qwest Corporation,now Century Link Corporation.I'd volunteered for two years with RSVP (retired seniors volunteer program),guardians angels retirement community,Minnesota Responds (public health volunteer),and the Elk River food shelf.
