Class of '59

My name is Alice Smith and I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist.
I noticed his DDS diploma, which showed his full name.

Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name who had been in my high school class some 40-odd years ago.
Could this be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park High School.

"Yes. Yes, I did. I'm a Mustang," he beamed with pride.

"When did you graduate?" I asked.

He answered, "In 1959. Why do you ask?"

"You were in my class!" I exclaimed.

He looked at me closely. Then, that ugly, old, bald wrinkled, fat, gray, decrepit son-of-a-gun asked, "What did you teach?"

Tell The Story

Businesses will try to impress customers using totals and percentage of totals, numbers that can be inflated.

The large businesses are built on stats, but for most people they're tedious.

But geeks loves figures, however, telling a story with numbers and equations, does not bode well for online marketers and online business owners.

I mention "geek" and I mean everything positive, but it conjures up a certain kind of person.

The moral of the story is communicate with an audience,in this case your customers, but avoid the numbers, use images, stories and testimonials.

You can use images or infographics to find out the entire story, very quickly.

From this perspective "a picture is (really) worth a thousand words".

Images convey significant information, just as infographics.

Numbers per se are, as I'd pointed out, rather boring.

On the other hand, data lies at the soul of all knowledge and science.

Numbers are initially compiled in tables or databases, but it's the job of images and infographics to make them interesting.

Numbers are often displayed in a graphic form to help scientists visualize and interpret the variation, patterns, and trends within the data.

Translate that to IM, and you not only convey interesting information, you also can indulge perspective clients and customers.

Internet marketers need to serve peers and customers with images and infographics.

IMers can take a short cut in their content marketing,as they're able to present information quickly and clearly.

Take a look at this graph, it can tell you in a glance the most effective B2B platforms.

Infographics is a visual storytelling aids that works.

What is the general idea behind Infographics?
Another term would be Data visualization.

Data visualization keeps the information very informative without being boring.

Your peers can actually digest the information without a severe migraine and /or an acute panic attack.

Google charts is an example of a online marketing data visualization tool.

Basically, the best infographics can tell a story very quickly, concisely and in a compelling and fun way.

The types of infographics include:analysis, and data visualization, which includes, time-series (documents data over time),statistical ( like a histogram), and hierarchies.

I believe a pie chart falls under "anaylsis" category.

Infographics and Data visualization charts are visual storytelling aids that work to add condensed significance to your blogs and articles.

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them. Ralph Waldo Emerson
