In Vegas, I got into a long argument with the man at the roulette wheel over what I considered to be an odd number.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time... I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Strengthen the Immune System For Better Health


The key to a healthy immune system is moderate aerobic exercise on most days,and also some additional moderate weight training.

The immune system gets energized by moderate exercise-30 to 60 minutes per day-like the cardiovascular system.

Recall, how cardiovascular training stimulates the system to carry more nutrients and oxygen to all parts of the body,including the periphery.

Also,cardiovascular training removes more metabolic waste especially from the periphery.

But you need to bring the heart rate up to 70% of MHR (maximum heart rate), to really hit the periphery of the cardiovascular system.

You can find your max heart rate or MHR, by subtracting your age from 220.


Moderate aerobic exercise increases blood levels of the hormone epinephine,which enlists and activates more immune cells.

The maximum time frame for moderate exercise is 90 minutes.If you go over the 90 minute limit,you can get into the chronic inflammation stage,can depress the immune system.

Antioxidants are probably at the very top of the list because antioxidants protect your immune cells from free radical damage.

The mineral selenium,is a significant antioxidant,especially in combination with natural vitamin E.

A deficit of selenium can cause impaired immune function.

The other top antioxidants that are significant to maintain a healthy immune system, include natural vitamin C and beta carotene.

There is evidence to suggest that vitamin B6 is important for optimal immune system function, especially in older persons.

Chronic inflammation can cause tryptophan degradation,and as we've seen underlies many diseases, like cardiovascular disease and cancers.

Chronic inflammation will increase vitamin B6 requirements.

We've seen vitamin D's role in prevention of osteoporosis and the building and maintenance of strong bones.
Vitamin D also helps the thymus gland manufacture immune cells.

Zinc is known to lessen the severity of cold viruses,it does this because it has been proven to support and raise the efficacy of the immune system.


Recall that food groups are probably more important than individual micronutrient supplements.

The reason for this is because phytonutrients are inherently in plants.
These phytonutrients work and facilitate the natural vitamins and minerals of the immune friendly foods.

Grains,for example have natural vitamin B6 and natural vitamin E.Also,grains have significant amount of selenium and zinc.


All vegetables have significant phytonutrients.

They build and support the immune system because they have the antioxidant vitamins and minerals that are more powerful as they act together with the natural phytonutrients.

Green leafy vegetable are predominant immune supporters,because of the significant amounts of antioxidants.

Orange vegetable are also important for the immune system,because they have large amounts of vitamin A another important antioxidant.

Tomatoes are important immune boosters because they have ample amounts of the antioxidant lycopene.
