How To Take

Responsibility

For Business Success.

In a recent video,

the well-known master of influence,

Darren Hardy,

tells an instructive story.

He was asked to partner in a start up venture.

He worked

in this venture for about two years

and then found that his partner

had squandered the cash.

Darren lost half a million dollars.

He could have sued,

but chose not to

and moved on with his life

Later on

he was in a position to lend his ex-partner

some funds to cover a

further financial difficulty.

Darren did not sit around

wallowing in self-pity

He admitted publicly that although

he trusted his ex-partner,

he himself

had been guilty of laziness.

He declared

that he should have checked more closely

what was happening in the business.

Darren took full responsibility.

He did not spend time in the past, preferring

to move on and forward.

So how do we take responsibility?

Not blaming others.

When you take responsibility your primary focus

is to identify what went wrong

so that you can rectify it.

Not blaming yourself.

Whether you blame others or you blame yourself,

blame weakens those involved

and blocks your rational thought and creativity.

Being honest with yourself.

In order to take responsibility for your life,

you must first give up all of the excuses.

Not saying I'm...

* too old,

*too young,

*too busy,

*unable to afford it,

etc.

Let us

be like Darren Hardy

and

take full responsibility for our outcomes.

No excuses!

Focus on the choices
