Re-Group and Simplify

Time to Re-Group?

Do you ever feel like you're beating your head against a wall? Do you keep trying all the stuff the "gurus" offer only to lose more and more money? Have you reached a point where you've decided to just quit the online arena and open a booth at a flea market instead?

If this is you and you still want to make money online there are two things you can do. One...keep trying the next new thing or; you can simplify.

You've probably got enough experience by now to know that if you keep going in the same direction all you'll accomplish is...very little.

Doing the same thing guarantees you more frustration and a smaller bank account. You buying the next new thing will only, in the long run, benefit the person that created it!

When I reach a point where I'm getting frustrated and feel as if I'm not making the progress I should be making; my method has always been to cut back on what I'm doing.

What this does is make me feel I'm taking positive steps to correct the situation I'm in.

I start by looking at the bizops I'm using that aren't producing and I cancel them. I stop hoping they'll magically begin to show a profit. They won't. If you've really worked to promote something and it isn't producing for you...cancel it.

The next thing I look at is the stats for any ads I'm running. What kind of traffic am I getting from them. The non-productive ads get cut.

The same goes for any newsletter that doesn't retain subscribers. I'll either 'can it' or re-edit the entire thing to give it a newer slant in an effort to make it more palatible for my readers.

In the end of all this cutting and cancelling a couple of things happen. I stop worrying about trying to keep up with myriad bizops and what ads I'm running and when do they renew etc. etc. and, I've also trimmed my monthly business budget as well. Bottom line frustration level goes down, I feel more in control and I definitely know I can re-group instead of just giving up altogether.

Try this the next time frustration sets in. Just simplify and start over.

This must work because I've been successfully online now for 20+ years and yes; I've definitely re=grouped a few times. That's how life works, isn't it?

Some things work, some things don't. It's not your fault.

Edison tried over 10,000 times to create a light bulb until he got it right!

Don't quit...ever!

All the best,

Donald Gaw
