Advertise your business Where do you start if you want to advertise your business, well provided that you already have a site or capture page to promote, you can look online for free classifieds sites, the like of Craig's List are good but I now notice they have started to charge for certain categories of advertising or else you can use 1- Family classifieds, both of these sites are popular with readers and also feature high in search engine results. You can also consider using Pay per Click Ads (PPC), these are the blocks of ads that are shown at the top and to the right of search engine queries, however unless you know what you are doing these can be very costly. I actually find one of the best way to advertise your business if by writing a regular blog, like this one. You need to decide on a theme which is keyword related to the business you are promoting. I try to keep the contents of my blog informational, rather than selling, because generally people use the search engine to find the answers to questions, such as what is $100 in pounds or what time is it in the USA. You need to write naturally but ensure whatever your keyword is, it appears a few times in you post, it can also help use bold for one keyword Keep pictures to a minimum and always use the "alt" tag to describe the picture content, which also can present another way to include a keyword phrase but do not over do it. I have taken a lead from forum posting and tend to put a signature box at the bottom of every post with contact details and links to my business, what I call my soft sell. If people like what you are writing about they will tend to contact you, follow your blog or click on you link. Having links in your signature also helps to build backlinks to your business. I recommend blogging once a week, that gives you time to put some content together and aim to write 300-500 words for optimum results. David Ogden Advertise Your Business
