Globe of Death - Motorcycles in Action
The summer has begun as far as the kids being out of school. Yesterday was their last day until the middle of August. They had snow days worked into the school schedule, however, it didn't snow so they ended up getting out for summer about two weeks early this year.
Oh YAY! for mommy. Keep me in your thoughts, I'll need them. LOL
No, I plan on doing my best to keep them more active this summer, (I hope).
Our nearby city pool closed this year, so that is one less place to go. There are other "swim parks" around, but I will have to drive further.
Anyway, the circus came to town so I decided I would start the summer off with a trip to see lions, tigers and elephants (oh my...couldn't say bears, there were none. Actually this year they didn't even have the lions or tigers.)
Don't know why they didn't, but I felt a little "ripped" off. The kids were free as long as they were with a paying adult and we had a local printed coupon.
No problem, even though I didn't really care for paying the $15 adult ticket price. Guess those animals cost a pretty penny to be fed.
The entire show lasted for exactly 1.5 hours and wasn't bad, but they sure do know how to keep pushing items out for the kids to beg their parents to buy (so much for kids being free....guess those circus people knew what they were doing).
A can of soda $2, a lit up fake nose $5, a dolphin pink or blue balloon $7 and of course cotton candy (sugar on a stick) $2. Oh, and pony and elephant rides $5 each.
I didn't particularly like this years circus. I have seen better in my years, however, the kids were okay with it.
However, I must comment on one pretty awesome attraction they did have that I enjoyed. And that was the "Globe of Death" featuring some awesome motorcycle stunts.
Here is a glimpse of what entertainment the "Globe of Death" provided. Maybe you have seen something like this.
I especially enjoyed the parts at the 3:30 minute mark and again at the 4:20 minute mark.

How do you plan on spending your summer with the kids home?
