A Mother is Born
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never." Rajneesh
There is some type of switch that seems to turn on when having a child.
From personal experience, I believe that switch is turned on the moment that a woman discovers she is pregnant.
At this point, it seems that all thoughts and actions are carried out with their child in mind.
When a woman is truly ready to have a child, not only physically, but most importantly, mentally. Being mature enough to realize exactly what precious cargo they are completely responsible for, everything in their life is done for making a life for that child.
"When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child." Sophia Loren
The bond between a mother and child is incomparable to anything else that I can think of.
Of course, there are bonds that are developed between a father and a child, but when a woman has another human being growing inside of her, well, the feeling is just so unbelievable. To feel that first movement, will completely take a womans breath away.
"Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother." Oprah Winfrey
As I speak about the bond of a mother and child, I have not forgotten that some woman may not ever be able to experience these feelings for many different reasons.
However, again, when a woman is ready, they can and will still experience all the feelings that a biological mother would outside of feeling the baby inside of them.
There is just something about a mothers love.
From the time that a woman discovers they are with child, a true mother, in every sense of the word, is and always will be dedicated to taking care of that child and doing everything in her power to provide for that child.
No matter how hard, no matter for how long, no matter what she has to give up, a mother is and always will be there for their child.
Happy Mothers Day to moms all over. Bless you and I hope that you receive all that you so rightly deserve.
