An Official Taste Testing Experience
I just came back from my first official taste testing experience.
I must say that it was pretty neat. Nothing spectacular, but I wouldn't mind doing it again.
I was told that there was a company in my area that would have people sign up to taste test different foods for them on occasion.
For only about 30 minutes of my time, they would pay me $20 in the form of a Wal-Mart gift card.
All I had to do was to go in and fill out a questionaire pertaining to my likes or dislikes for different foods, fill out a W9 just in case I happen to make over $600 with them in a year, and for that they also paid me with a $20 Wal-Mart gift card just for the time of filling out the questionaire.
I was put into a sectioned off booth and had to fill out an online questionaire as I was given three different types of chicken nuggets and three different types of popcorn chicken.
Between each set I was suppose to rate the taste, texture, look, and smell for each. When switching between each sample I also had to take a bite of a cracker and rinse with water before proceeding to the next sample.
After I completed the samples and input my response, I was then given the $20 Wal-Mart gift card and left.
I am on their email list and whenever I happen to rotate back around then they will send and email out to see if I am interested in taste testing whichever product they have at that time.
No telling when the next time will be, but I didn't mind making $20 for no more than 30 minutes of my time.
It wasn't far from my house, so I didn't use that much gas and hey, even though the samples were just small portions, for me it provided me with my breakfast for today.
So that is how I started my day today, and how about you? LOL
