Have you seen the preview for the movie “In Time”?
It’s set in the future and the premise is, time is the currency.
People are paid in time, they spend time to make purchases, pay bills, etc. And everyone can see on their arm how much time they have left.
We each have only so much time on this earth, we just don’t know how much.
Would you want to know how much time you have left?
What would you do different?
Justin Timberlake is in it, and he’s from the “other side of the tracks”, so he has never “accumulated” more than a day at a time…but he makes the comment:
"You can do a lot with a day”
All we ever have is the day that’s in front of us.
We need to make the most of each one!
Have you heard: “The past is behind us, the future is yet to come, all we have is the gift of today, that’s why it’s called the “present” (gift, get it?)

People can misinterpret these statements and feel that this means they have to constantly be moving. Making the most of each day can mean sitting quietly in contemplation about the next day or about blessings that we have. Just don't take for granted that the next day will come for currently we can not know when our time is through. |
