Do you feel wanted or needed?
Feeling wanted or needed can be a very empowering feeling. Yet at the same time can feel overwhelming.
A person may be wanted or needed due to being a parent, being in a job or any other number of situations.
How does this make you feel?
Being needed or wanted as a parent is always good, but sometimes may get to the point that you do not even think about it. Same as with being married for years, it all just becomes part of habit and that is the way things are. You come to overlook the feeling and the power of that responsibility that you possess.
In a new relationship, you will most likely feel all warm and bubbly because someone special wants your attention and everything that is said or done between the two of you just warms your insides.
Being wanted or needed in a job, can also have it's own powerful feelings. When trying to "climb that ladder of success", you, of course, will feel great and enthused about proving to others just what type of abilities you possess and how YOU can make a difference in the business. You want to do things in a way that will ensure that YOU are the one that they call when whatever type of situation arises.
However, there may come a time when, in that same job, you become overwhelmed and get to the point that you feel you are being "taken advantage of". But this is a time to remember, how did you get to that point? Did you make it where your peers, boss, co-workers, could call on you when things needed to get done?
No matter what the case may be, remember, that when building your reputation, your following, etc. that there will come a time when things may get to feel overwhelming for you. Yet, at the same time, you may also have such an "EXCELLENT" feeling inside that you want to burst.
Knowing that you have built the trust, the confidence, the knowledge that other people now have that YOU are the one that they can come to, to get the job done. This can be a very personal empowering feeling of accomplishment.
No matter what position you hold or you are just beginning to build a reputation for yourself, know that from day one, people are looking at you. They will be deciding what you can bring to the table for not only their personal endeavors but also for the company you are associated with.
When that time comes (and it will) know that when you are called upon to do your part, make the most of it, do your utmost best and prove to everyone that you are worthy of doing even more. This will create the foundation that you will need to successfully climb that ladder to achieve your personal goals in life.
