As you travel along your path to improving yourself and obtaining your goals, make a point of going to the mirror every now and then and looking at the person staring back at you.
Can you look that person in the eyes and feel good about what you have done or what you are accomplishing?
This is the only face that matters along your path to success. This is the only person's judgment that must approve of what you are doing. This face looking back at you is the only verdict and opinion that counts most in your life.
If you are able to look at this person in the eye and feel good about who you are looking at, then you have passed the most important test you need to go through.
It is always great and feels awesome to get pats on the back from others with whom you admire, however, if you can not appreciate yourself and know that you have actually done good at something, then what good is it?
Your final reward will be heartache and tears if you have cheated the face in the mirror.
By this I mean, always do the best that you can so that you can feel good about achieving what you wish to achieve. Just make sure you get there doing things the right way. Do not walk on others or push others down in order to get where you wish to go.
We are all in the networking business to better ourselves and our business, but there is a way to do it without running down someone else or their business.
Always hold your head high and above all else, hold a high standard of ethics. What you give out WILL come back to you. Make it good.
