How do you plan for a trip? Do you sit down, map out the roads you need to travel, confirm you have enough money for your estimated gas allowance, food expenditures, entertainment cash, have maintenance done on your vehicle, etc.?
It takes a little work, doesn't it? At least to prepare for it correctly as to not have any unforeseen “road blocks” on that trip, right?
So, with that in mind, how do you plan for your future in life? Don't you need to have a destination in mind and a plan on how to get there?
To prevent “road blocks”, it would be a very good idea to have some type of plan together. However, with a trip for your future, your plan may be considered as a “rough draft” than something written in stone, so to speak.
Reason I say this is, of course, what are we talking about here? LIFE, you know that things happen everyday and no telling what detour signs will pop up in any given situation.
However, the better prepared you are for any trip, the less detours you will need to take, or at least you may not have to spend as much time on that detour as you would had if you had not prepared to the best of your ability.
So outside of knowing what your destination in life is, knowing what your “WHY' is for traveling to that destination, and having some type of “rough draft” in order on how to reach that destination, I do feel it is EXTREMELY important that you also BELIEVE that you can arrive at the destination you want to arrive at.
This all goes back to having faith in yourself and your abilities, believing in yourself, and trusting yourself in making the decisions that will enable you to be happy with what you are doing.
Trust your instincts. Don't get too bound up in problems that may appear in your path. If something happens, take steps to move it out of your way. Do what you can to resolve the matter, but don't let yourself get too overwhelmed with moving it out of your way. If nothing else, maybe that's when you need to take a little “detour”. Go around it and move on.
If you sow seeds of fear, doubt, panic, and procrastination, they will most likely work against you. If you keep doing the same things you're doing now, you will keep ending up in similar places to where you are now.
Once you start making progress towards your future (your goal in life), you will discover great things will happen. Trust your instincts. Be patient; your dreams will not come true overnight. But start now, and go with love and courage and confidence.
Don't be afraid. You can do anything you believe you can. And don't forget to keep an open mind and heart to check yourself along the way.
You WILL be able to reach your destination.
Because it's all about YOU! And changing yourself for the better.
