What do you get motivated about? Are you the type of person that doesn't hesitate to jump up and accomplish any task with no thought of putting it off until later?
The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place, and of course, to keeping yourself motivated to do it.
If you enjoy a particular task, then it may be a little easier getting it done. However, the more you dislike something the longer you probably will try to put it off, until it gets to the point that you have no other choice but to do it, and then by that time, who knows what all will be involved in getting things back in order.
Time management is really considered to be life management or personal management. It is about managing events that occur in your life. Time management is having control over the events in your life and being able to choose the order in which you should do them. Your ability to choose between the important and the unimportant is the key determinant of your success in life and work. Unless, you have situations as I usually do, when it seems like everything is a priority and needs to be done first. Either way, it is up to you on which step to do first.
All those things that you really dislike doing, do you keep putting them off time and time again? Unfortunately, the longer you keep putting them off, the worse the task is going to be. Depending on the task, things may become so overwhelming you really won’t know where to begin. This will only increase your stress and frustration levels each time you think about trying to tackle the task.
This could even begin to make you start to lose your confidence in your ability to accomplish that particular task or any others for that matter, due to the fact that the task has gotten so out of proportion.
Effective, productive people discipline themselves to start on the most important task that is before them. As a result, they are able to accomplish more than the average person and are much happier as a result. If at all possible, this is the way everyone should approach their to-do tasks.
One of your main objectives of running your own business and keeping a handle on your personal life also, would be to sharpen your skills of time management. The better you can keep your daily schedule to run, the better you will feel and work overall. Not only in your personal day to day life with coping with family, but also in your daily business. The better your business schedule runs, the easier it will be to succeed in the long run.
Always be open to suggestions, advice or information relating to any ideas that may help you improve yourself. You don't have to follow every ones advice, but at least you could try a new way of doing something to see if it would help in your life.
Remember that we can all help each other in some way. When you do find that certain technique that is helping your business, why not share with others so that they may be able to have a better way of life also.
As always, I am here to help and serve you. I want to share all so that you may also reap the benefits of what life can offer. We are never to good or old to learn something new.
