Are You Really a Leader at Heart?
Becoming a true leader calls for a life-long process and requires persistent growth for anyone wanting to hold that position.
A leader will continue to present themselves the same way with everyone at all times.
Leaders find solutions to challenges.
A leader is upbeat and positive all the times.
Integrity is the most important quality of a leader.
A leader is someone who wins your heart by gaining your trust.
They respect your needs and opinions. They make you feel like you are truly cared for.
A leader will guide a company or organization in a direction that will benefit the company or organization as a whole
A leader will always speak the truth. Their actions are consistent with their words and they are deemed to be ethical.
A leader will also treat everyone fairly.
A leader will also treat everyone with dignity.
They are willing to lead by example. Leaders are willing to model the work ethic, beliefs and values that they want you to share.
A leader will prove that they are competent in the particular field that they are in.
A leader will also prove that they are capable of teaching others.
A great leader establishes a vision and is able to motivate people to join them in bringing that vision to a reality.
A leader will do their best to keep everyone informed of what is going on and will encourage everyone to participate to help the overall goal of the team or organization.
Do you know that there is a difference between being a boss and being a leader?
A boss usually is someone who exercises their power over you.
However, a leader is honorable and trustworthy enough that they will win your heart and your loyalty.
So do have you got what it takes?
As I read over these traits that make up a leader, I realize that even after all these years of believing that I would always be happy to “follow” and never take the lead with anything, I realized that I may actually possess all the qualities of a “Leader”.
To me that is funny. It just goes to prove that no matter who you are or where you may come from, if a person has enough desire to make a change in their life and doesn't mind a little study and hard work to get reach a goal, then great things can happen.
Take “Personal Responsibility” and realize that the most important person you have to lead is YOURSELF. Once you realize that “it is all about YOU, then you will be able to go on and begin teaching others just what you have learned.
That is a “Servant Leader”, which is just what I posted on my business page; “As I learn those things, I then like to share and show others what they could learn also.” I believe I have found my calling.
