Honesty is the Best Policy
A milkman became very wealthy through dishonest means.
He had to cross a river daily to reach the city where his customers lived.
Each day he would mix water from the river with some of his milk and then would sell that mixture for a good profit.
One day he went around collecting the dues in order to celebrate the wedding of his son. With the large amount of what he collected, he then purchased plenty of rich clothes and glittering gold ornaments.
However, while crossing the river on his way back, the boat capsized and all of what he just purchased, fell into the river.
The milk vendor was speechless with grief.
At that time, he heard a voice that seem to come from the river, “Do not weep. What you have lost is only the illicit gains you earned through cheating your customers."

No matter what you do, if you do not conduct yourself and your business in an honest and respectful way, anything that you may have been rewarded with along the way, may eventually be taken away from you in some way.
You reap what you sew, and even though there may be times that you feel you have succeeded in "pulling the wool" over some one's eyes, something greater will have a way of making sure that you eventually get what you are rightly due.
