I write this blog with such pride in my heart.
As I have wrote before, in previous blogs, I was born and raised in a Marine Corps town. Jacksonville, NC which is home to the Camp Lejuene Marine Corps base, 2nd Marine Corp Division.
Every year, whether it is a Christmas Parade, a military homecoming, or the display of fireworks, I would get to hear the fabulous Marine Corps Band.
I will admit, there are lot's of good bands, whether high school or other organizations, however, when listening to the Marine Corps Band, I listen with such pride in my heart.
With this time of the year, it is, of course, even more fulfilling to be able to listen to those songs that have been played throughout time that has helped encourage our fighting men and women to go to the depths of hell at times to help protect what they and many of us have come to feel is worth fighting for.
I haven't been able to be home, to Jacksonville/Camp Lejuene, NC in a few years, but when I do go, I do my best to go at this time of year.
The show that the Marine Corps puts on always does fabulous things to my soul.
These videos do not consist of the particular showing I am speaking of, however, if you had been there, Oh MY GOD! it was awesome.
They had the cannons shooting off just at the right moment and the songs they were playing right in sync to the fireworks going off and it was just so breathtaking.
Anytime, when you watch 4th of July fireworks being displayed, anywhere for that matter, it can fill you with such pride. However, if you ever get to hear and see those fireworks being displayed at a military base, I must say, from my experience, the whole process of hearing and seeing them will have your inner core wanting to burst.
