Do Not Reinvent the Wheel in Network Marketing

One of the biggest mistakes I see new and struggling network marketers make is trying to reinvent the wheel.

People from every walk of life join our industry every single day. Many of these people are well educated and have experience in sales, marketing and entrepreneurship. Others join with less experience and skills.

When these folks join an MLM Company, they make the mistake of trying to do everything their own way. Rather than follow their company’s or upline’s system, they do their own thing. How do I know this? I used to be one of those people!

Network marketing success comes down to duplication. You want hundreds, even thousands of people, all following a simple system. You want people doing simple, basic steps each day to move their business forward.

Even if you have incredible skills, you must realize that most of the people you sponsor will NOT have similar skills. That’s why systems are so important.

What you want is a simple system everyone can follow. You want a system to generate leads, share the presentation, follow-up, etc.

As you become successful in the business, you can make minor tweaks and adjustments if needed. But if you are new, inexperienced, or have never achieved success before, the worst thing you can do is try and reinvent the wheel.

Imagine what would happen if someone purchased a franchise, but then tried to reinvent the wheel. In addition to having their franchise revoked, there’s also a HIGH likelihood they would not succeed in the business.

Why? Because the franchisor has already worked out the kinks and created a simple system for the franchisees to follow. They know what works and what doesn’t work.

Network marketing is no different. Do not reinvent the wheel. Do not be a lone wolf. Follow the system and stay the course. That is really the key to success.
