Doesn't Everyone Fail in Network Marketing?

If you’ve been in the industry for any period of time, you’ve probably heard that most people fail. I disagree.

Most people QUIT. Most people do NOTHING with their business and QUIT in 90 days or less. It’s impossible to fail something you haven’t even started.

Most people do nothing and quit, because they have NO SKIN in the game, financially. Let’s face it, when you only have a couple hundred bucks invested in a business, it’s easy to put your business on the back burner and let life get in the way.

Compare that to someone who invested $500k to start a franchise or traditional business. Those folks work 24/7, make no excuses, and do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in their willpower for YEARS to make their business a success. To succeed in a big way, you must learn to think and act like an entrepreneur.

Next, many people join a company to simply buy products at a discounted price. In fact, that’s what MOST people do. They have no desire to build a big business. Instead, they just want to be a wholesale buyer and enjoy the products at a discounted price.  Nothing wrong with that. I love these people. So should you!

Other people simply want to be part of a community, something greater than themselves. It’s natural to want to belong to something. Cherish these folks as well. They are an important part of the team.

Remember this: you get out what you put in! In the beginning of any business, you will work your butt off, without making much money! You'll typically work for less than minimum wage. That’s how business works.  Most entrepreneurs work for a couple YEARS before they make a PENNY profit.

Don’t believe me? Just ask any traditional business owner. The beauty of this industry is you can be profitable from your first month in business, because your start-up and fixed expenses are so low.

In your first 18 to 24 months in the business you need to lay the groundwork, get established, find your leaders, and pay your dues. It takes time to build a successful business of any kind. This isn’t the lottery or a job. Put on your blinders for 18-24 months minimum, put in the work, and never look back. You’ll be glad that you did.
