Gold in the garage and good news about you...

69 year old Walter Samaszko Jr. was a bit of a recluse. Walter kept to himself and died in June of 2012 in Carson City, Nevada. They found his body  in his home about a month after he died of apparent heart failure.

Walter had only $200 in his bank account but his house was paid for and they found that he had about $12,000 in cash “stashed” in the house along with stock certificates worth $165,000 and…

$7 Million dollars worth of gold coins and gold bars stored in boxes in his house and garage.

I think most people, like me, have mixed ideas about retirement. Living well all the days of your life has to include having enough money to pay for what you need and some of what you want.

Everyone is somewhere between struggling to have what we need and having so much that we can’t spend it all before we die...

On average, adults 65 and older spend almost $46,000 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Of course we have Social Security in the USA but In the 12-month period ending June 2017 the average retired worker was getting $1,413.08 in monthly benefits ($16,956 a year) - which is $46 a day...

The recent 2018 Retirement Savings survey found that 42 percent of Americans have less than $10,000 saved...

In my insurance business I talk to a LOT of people over the age of 60.

I find that a lot of retirement age people continue working not because they want to keep working but because they have to in order to pay their bills.

Included in the 42 percent of US citizens with less than $10,000 saved is the 14 percent of respondents with absolutely nothing saved for retirement.

This is as good as the news (in this survey) gets...

The survey found that the majority of Americans - 58 Percent - DO  have more than $10,000 saved for retirement.

  • 7 percent said they have $10,000 to $49,999 saved
  • 13 percent said they have $50,000 to $99,999
  • 12 percent said they have $100,000 to $199,999
  • 10 percent have $200,000 to $299,999
  • 16 percent have $300,000 or more in retirement savings

Overwhelmingly the reason that most Americans gave for NOT having money saved is that they don’t Make enough to save.

That’s where YOU might come in...

If you are in business to help others make more money you have something a lot of people want. Just look at the statistics then…

Craft your story, learn to tell it well, tell it a lot and follow up relentlessly.

People need what you have. Be sure to be prepared to give it to them in a way that they’ll find easy to understand and grateful to participate in.

By the way, Walter Samaszko first cousin Arlene Magdanz ended up with his fortune. That was not “planned” because Walter didn’t have a will. But that story is for another day.

Bill Bateman (like Batman with an “E” in the middle)

Wishing you all the best for all the rest of your year and your life

PS - If you need “more” (whatever that means to you) and you’re struggling to get it…

Don’t suffer silently. I’ve got 40 years of business experience and that 1st phone conversation is always free.
