Lessons from New Mexico?

Ever get “triggered” by something someone said or wrote?..

Apologies in advance, forgive me, I’m on a rant…

I just got this email from my Senator Tom Udall

It starts…

Dear Friend,

“All children in New Mexico deserve the opportunity to grow up healthy, do well in school and achieve their full potential. But thousands of kids in our state are deprived of that opportunity. Eighty-two percent of the babies born in New Mexico this year will be born to families eligible for Medicaid; hundreds of those kids will go hungry at some point in their childhood, and many will lack access to quality day care, health care, housing and especially early childhood education.

As neighbors, friends, relatives, business people and community leaders, we can't afford to let a generation of New Mexicans slip through the cracks.”

The email went on for a few more paragraphs. I’ll paraphrase it this way…

Senator Udall wanted his constituents to know that he and his colleagues will do everything they can to avoid anyone having any less welfare than they did before the election and then went on to specifics on how everyday people receiving benefits can help him help them.

for the record...

In New Mexico

  • Our college graduates are leaving for other states with better job opportunities
  • Our companies are moving to Texas & Arizona along with many high earners
  • Our population is stagnant compared to the rest of the country and…

“Welfare State” politics, almost completely dominated in New Mexico for 60 years by Senator Udall’s party have been the consistent mantra of politicians. Take more money from those that earn it and give it to those…

who vote for those who steal it for them.

36 years ago Ronald Reagan aptly said "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."

36 years later, in New Mexico for sure, Senator Udall has ignored economic and social reality in favor of political realty.

  • Economic Reality - socialist policies drive away jobs
  • Social Reality - jobless societies see increased crime
  • Political Reality - you CAN get elected giving away other people's money (until you run out of money or people to take it from)

I’m for free enterprise and free people making their own choices and not looking for a “handout”. If you are one of “those people”...

YOU are MY kind of people.

If you have a business and are doing well, let’s talk sometime about how we can help each other. If you are getting started in business (at age 18 or 89) and need some help, let’s talk. I can probably save you some time and often a whole lot of money.

Greatly blessed & highly favored

PS - The one tool I use to organize my days, my goals and my life is an online platform called Simpleology. They have a great FREE version and a better Paid one and free trial of both
