Keep after your Systems

I caught myself, again, this last week getting caught up in working in my business instead of on my business.

 

It’s a personal affliction that I’ve battled with for 30 years, off an on. Here’s the story…

 

After a couple of great group meetings I had 15 insurance agents interested in selling some of the products I had shown them in the meetings.

 

These agents are independent, they represent the best companies for their clients and I had shown them 4 companies that provided products that are “best in class” in the niches that

 

Even though we only talked about 4 companies, it turned out that a couple of other companies (who I represent) came up in conversations with the agents. So at the end of this 2 days I had information and contracting to disseminate from 6 different companies to 15 different agents.

 

Some of the agents wanted information about only 1 company, one wanted all 6. Most wanted information on 2 or 3.

 

I’ve invested a lot of the last week getting all of that information out to the agents. BUT, I’ve been seriously frustrated at the amount of time it’s taken me.

 

I have a system for each company BUT I didn’t have a system for all of them as a group and worse still I didn’t have a virtual employee that had responsibility to take care of it for me.

 

So I’m in the process of perfecting the process.

 

Be sure you put together a system for everything that you do in your business if it’s not already put together for you so you avoid the frustration of “making the sale” but then struggling with the fulfillment.
