Timing the River...Of money

The two most important requirements for major success are: first, being in the right place at the right time, and second, doing something about it.” Ray Kroc

Ray Kroc was selling milkshake machines to restaurants when he realized what the McDonald brothers didn’t about their own operation…

It was a gold mine.

But the McDonald's restaurant business had been a goldmine for awhile, it was just unrecognized.

Ray Kroc recognized that the time was right for “fast food” and the market rewarded him and those that got on board with him and his vision.

As I’ve said in a series of previous posts, in marketing, I’m convinced that the 5 areas to pay attention to are....

  1. The number of people you “touch”
  2. The number of times you “touch” them
  3. The quality of your “touch”
  4. The “spot” you “touch”
  5. The timing of your “touch”

That 5th area - timing - is something you want to be aware of as it relates to your business.

Now “timing” can mean different things for different products & services.

In the life insurance business, for example, I tell agents to look for “timing” opportunities. For example…

  • If a family just had a baby (especially that first baby)
  • If someone just retired and lost their group term life insurance
  • If a couple just bought their first home and got their first HUGE mortgage

Those are “timing” opportunities to sell life insurance. At THOSE time, these people are more likely to buy some life insurance.

So how about YOUR business. What “timing” leverage can you think of and use?

I’d love to hear your answer - or your question - if you’re not sure how you can use “timing” to increase your marketing results…

Greatly blessed and highly favored

PS - NOW is the time to reach out using texting in your marketing. Two platforms I use are CallLoop and LeadJumper. Both let you “act fast” when you see the opportunity. Let me know if I can help you with either platform because that’s a service I provide…
