The profitable future of Retail

I was listening to internet business owner Jane Marks a few months ago say on a live event that she NEVER goes to a store for anything anymore.

She stated that she shops online for everything from groceries to travel to furniture and clothing from online retailers. Jane lives in New York and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico so I chalked some of her comments up to the “big city”.

Personally, for example, I don’t know ANYBODY that gets their groceries online but do know that you can get a restaurant meal from just about any restaurant in town delivered to your home if you are willing to pay.

My wife, the most reluctant entrepreneur I know, has started her own modest amazon business recently. Then this last week I saw this…

Wal-Mart is buying fast-growing online retailer Jet.com for $3 billion in cash plus $300 million in stock, scooping up a newcomer that launched a year ago with the intention of challenging online leader Amazon.com Inc.

I don’t know about you but I’ve seen a dramatic increase in the “info products” that explain how to market using Alibaba and Amazon. Soon, I’m sure, we’ll be seeing information on how to partner with Walmart's online division.

All of this is good news for people that learn the art of marketing online.

Online retail marketing may not be everyone’s “cup of tea” but many will become millionaires in this growing trend. Pay attention, I know I am.

PS - if you are interested in Alibaba (like I am) this is a great low cost course on the basics of this fast growing platform. Just click here
