How Much Time Do You Spend Outside With Nature?

Did you know that spending time outside with nature benefits you and has an healing effect on your mental  emotional, and physical health?

According to research done by the East Anglia University:

"Summary: A new study backs up previous findings that spending time outside and living close to nature has significant physical and mental health benefits."

According to the article in neuroscience news dated July 6, 2018, the exposure to nature and impact on your health reduces the overall efect and risks of various diseases, like cardiovascular, type II diabetes, stress, and high blood pressure, to name a few.

So what does this tell you? Live closer to nature, green spaces which is linked to significant health benefits.

Those who grew up in the 1940s through 60s (I have no idea what category they are placed in) grew up outdoors. You were always outdoors with friends, playing ball, hide and seek, jacks, baseball, cricket, riding bicycle, push cart you made from scrap material, skating, and you made your own skate with old bearings from bicycle, playing marbles, spinning tops, competing with hoola hoops, reading under a tree detective books like Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. Oh!..the list is long. You had fun and were creative.
It was by far more healthy than being glued to a cell phone or being a couch potatoe staring at the television, and to be truthful, being anti-social.

Children today have not fully grasped, if at all the idea of what was and how life emerged into what it is now.

Young children are having mature people's diseases. Why is that?

You ate healthily then and fast foods were not prominent. You got home in time to have meals prepared at home with loving care.

To this date I recall my moms Jamaican pepperpot soup on a Saturday. What is that you may ask? Let me share with you some of the ingredients as I recall:

Conk, kale (we called it injun kale), callaloo, spinach, ochroe. Seasoning: pimento (All spice), thyme, hot pepper, coconut milk.  Ground provisions like yellow yam, sweet potatoe, breadfruit, and of course dumplings.

Every now and again I try to recreate the taste as I remember it - Close but never quite the same.

Being always outdoors, even on a moonlit night when the adults around would tell stories, and eating that healthily, the exercise you got from playing outdoors you were lean and fit.

I do believe that it is in our best interest to develop a lifestyle that will keep us enjoying the years as they go by.

Want to go somewhere? Leave your backyard and BBQ behind and make it a real vacation. Whether it is a 4 day weekend to pamper yourself and get some R &R without leaving your country, or a 7 day break, there are beautiful people the world over and beautiful places to see.

When you travel walk to places, talk to people, get to know the culture by being outdoors, take pictures, share information.  Have fun and Just Live!

Go Here to find out how  for less.

You are always looking for the cheapest source of travel with the best results. Who isn't?
The best airfare, the best hotels for less, a cruise. Yes it is real and only you can make it happen.

I was inspired to write this press release after reading the following Neuroscience News article.
