What Is The Purpose Of Your Business?

Whatever is your decision as to the purpose of your business, it must be clearly defined.

Why are you in business?

Where do you want your business to be in the period you set?

What do you expect or want to get from your business?

To have a clear vision of the purpose of your business is to stay focused on what your intentions are. This means your mission, your target market, and areas you wish to expand into relevant to your business.

Your inspiration for starting a business and your purpose for being in business is important to understand clearly.

 What Do You Need To Know?

“Why am I in business and what do I want out of it?”

When you can answer the above two-part question, you will find that immediately pops into your mind other questions which need to be answered. For example:

Will I be able to devote the time needed to make this business successful and achieve the goals I want to reach?

Do I want to, or is it wise to include my family?

In this era of digital marketing and technological evolution can I present it as an opportunity of lifestyle changes, freedom to choose and to be where I want to be, when I want?

Should the business be my principal career activity and primary source of income?

Could this be a case for firing the boss?

Explaining what your business will do for your prospects  

Focus on your business’s core activities and direction by being as specific as possible without initially giving too much away.  Inviting them in to see more.

This though should not be an issue as for example:  If you are into the popular Affiliate marketing business as an independent associate, any niche you choose, is pretty much set out for you with all the details about the business which is useful. You can then brand it to you by understanding and portraying to your target market how it will impact their lives or business. And in most cases, there are videos, very good sales letters and images that are proven to work so that you don’t have to reinvent the process.

The important thing is to choose a Niche, research it, understand it and focus to deliver.

You will also find that sometimes you must become a product of the product, appreciate its benefits so that you may appropriately convey its usefulness.

What is your business vision?

Your vision reflects what your business is trying to achieve, helping others, and what you care about most.

Your vision expresses what the expected outcome of your business will be. It fuels the business toward its long-term aims and is often created from the dream you’ve had encompassing what motivated you. Your “Why.”

Vision is about pursuing challenging but achievable goals and within a period you’ve set yourself.

What to Do Next

It is important that you know your Customer

To know your customer, it is important to have had some form of communication ongoing. With Digital products you focus on finding the product, having first decided the purpose of your business. Study the product then find your target market and build your relationship.  If you already have a list (called your warm market) you will know who on that list, you can target based on the relationship, and who will lend a listening ear.

Yet in other cases you talk about what you are doing, why you are doing what you are doing and what it has done for you.  Where you can show proof (Not fake proof), often peeks curiosity.

Learn to distinguish good opportunities from bad

If you have no idea what your business is about it is going to be difficult to explain. Decide what you want for your future and bring clarity and focus to what is the purpose of your business. Unless you can bring clarity to your business purpose, it is of little or no value.
