When a customer purchases an item or service, in order to know how well you are doing or what you need to tweak in your business, it is important for you to get feedback and to follow-up

Customer relationship

This means you have to figure out the best ways to get your feedback. This could be through  creating a strategy such as doing a survey, or depending on the product or  service you provide, you may want to make a phone call, being interactive  over the phone, asking for their opinion, or suggestion.

The key here is to listen to what your client is really saying. Of course this would be dependent on the kind of customer relationship you would have built with your customer. It could very well also have to do with what your customer is hearing in your tone.

The personal touch shows that you care and are not just trying to make a buck and moving on to the next person. The value of this kind of communication is priceless as sometimes people will open up and tell you how they really feel. And sometimes it has little to do with your product or services, but you have to gently lead them back to the topic.

If your customer is unhappy and you are not following up, then you will hear about it in the way it affects your product sales, services and your finances.  You don't want to make that mistake. It could be  a costly one!

If however you are following up and you have an unhappy client, you have the opportunity of making adjustments, finding ways of pacifying your client, and showing appreciation for their valued input.

Giving Feedback
