Marijuana Research And The Changing Times - A Review

Lots of  excitement around the reseach of Marijuana for medial purposes.

The MEDS Act

Excerpt from Money Morning

"The Marijuana Effective Drug Study Act of 2017, or MEDS Act, aims to improve the process for conducting scientific research on marijuana as a safe and effective medical treatment.

The MEDS Act will encourage more research by streamlining the research registration process as well as make marijuana more available for legitimate scientific and medical research."

Cannabis,Marijuana, Weed, Ganja, Pot Same difference.

It is instructive to note how the tide of this once highly trafficked herb has turned.

Years ago in the 70's Jamaica was famous for its ganja, it's shipment abroad termed for its illegality. People were incarcerated for being in the possession of ganja (marijuana) and those found even with small amounts were heavily fined.

I know of cases where it was used privately as a means of relaxation and as far as I was aware, never affected the individuals.

When I read about medical marijuana and the US legalization of this weed it tugs at me when I recall what happened to Jamaicans both at home and abroad.

Marijuana, pot, for whatever reasons given for the 'New' not so new discovery of its benefits is now being traded. Can you imagine?

"Pot Stock Millionaire Summit"  It would not surprise me if many are set to make millions from research as well as trading.  It shows how research and the changing times can turn things around.

Growing up older folks who had heavy chest colds drank a tea made of the leaves. Others soaked it in proof rum hid it under their beds and used it as a linament for aches and pains. In other words many uses were found for it other than smoking. Those who used it swore by it and had many stories to tell.

Jamaican pilots were touted to be the best because of some unbelievable areas they would land and take off small planes, allegedly carying ganja. Jamaica was thriving then in an "illegal" economy. But then... they bowed to pressure. The very source of that pressure now saying it is alright to use ganja.

Jamaica was said to have the best variety of marijuana, weed, needed for research. So you can therefore imagine my thoughts, as given the history of jamaica and this famous or infamous weed, why jamaica is not benefitting on a large scale. If the powers that be had the balls to legalize when it should and do its own experimental research, earlier rather than later, It could be their greatest foreign exchange earner. I believe there was some research but not well supported. But it is not too late.

"How to make a fast fortune on Canada's upcoming total legalization of marijuana"  Another excerpt I picked up.

The year 2018 should see some interesting and informative  comments on the continued rise of medical marijuana, commonly called weed or ganja.

It could be argued that the 'rise' in marijuana use is not due to legalization but rather the fact that the caution of use is lifted, so doors are open and there is now confidence in freely using. There are states actually considering and may well have already begun...setting up marijuana lounges.

I certainly have no problem with medical marijuana research producing cures for certain illnesses. Like in most discoveries, however there is an argument going on so we await the end results and while some of the smarter ones make big dollars.

New Age Technology and digital occurrences

So many changes have taken place and have continued to...in the health industry. On the one hand with with marijuana, and on the other in the business of coins and Cryptocurrencies.

Freedom and use: ganja, marijuana and medical marijuana

Digital currencies: bitcoins, procurrency, etherum, cryptocurrency and others to name a few with some being linked to ecommerce.

Who knows we may well find ourselves paying for medical marijuana with one of these currencies in the future.
