A Tribute To My Daddy!

"Happy Father's Day Daddy!"

My Father has passed over for almost 30 years now. When Father's Day comes around I always have a smile on my face thinking about my Daddy. And I say...Happy Father's Day!

My Father was a young man in World War 11, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a husband, a father to seven and I am his baby girl who looks just like him. (When I was in school and needed extra money, I would leave him a note and ended it with, from the one that looks like you :-)

He was an inventor, which he never put patents on anything, he was an entrepreneur which many would say I was just like him, he was the treasurer and deacon of the church he help built.

He brought a house with a storefront and ran a store while our family lived in back. He had the greatest sense of humor and one of the best storytellers ever lived.

He had a way to ask you a question and he would then share his deep thoughts on the subject. He was always reading great books. One of the things he would say if you had a problem was, "mind over matter!"

He was loved and honor by many. When he passed over, the church that he helped build was too small to hold his funeral, that he was taken to a neighboring church. But, it too was too small that people were lined outside for blocks waiting to come in to pay their last respects.

I remember when I was sad and when I go to my Daddy, he would look at me with the warmest smile and I would forget what I was sad about.

He taught me to appreciate life the food that grows the trees, land and the starry night sky as we look up at it together.

Happy Father's Day Daddy, from the one who looks like you, love you!

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddys today.

A song my Daddy would sing to me...(Shes my darling my daisy my baby girl)
